Daddy's little girl

     Today I  watched the movie "Daddy's little girl". On the other hand, the Japanese theme is "Torture Man". I've not convinced of the Japanese theme.  I want to mention that.                                                                                                                             I watched it in Shinkansen bound for Nagoya. At first, I guessed the main character is a crazy person so he likes to torture someone. After watching it, I found that my guess was wrong. I could understand and even sympathize with his feeling. He was not crazy. I think everyone has the potential to do the same thing with him.  I'll explain the story. The main character had a six-year-old daughter.  Her name was Georgia.           One day, Georgia was missing. Her parents worried about her and looked for her desperately. A few days later, she was found dead. Her parents mourned for her. On the other hand, the criminal hadn't been found yet and police couldn't get any clues. At that time, the main Character found that the criminal was his brother and his brother murdered many people. He was surprised at the fact and was disappointed with him. He decided to torture his brother... 

     This movie implies a criticism about the death penalty. It is a complex and controversial problem. Australia has not adopted the death penalty. Without the death penalty, prisoners live in the prison all time no matter what kind of crime is. Perhaps, people may not reflect on their mistakes.  Food in prison is paid by the tax. Many people are not satisfied with the fact. Also,  this movie insisted on the love between daughter and father. For the main character, his daughter was everything. Unfortunately, his torture was not paid off and his daughter never come back. I think every people are likely to do the same thing. If I had been him, I might have done the same thing.
